Materials and Features

Edo Kiriko glass is hand-cut by artisans. It is made up of traditional and original patterns. It is made of soda glass, which has a high light diffusion property. At Saiho, we handle everything from design to production.

Edo Kiriko Old Fashioned Glass "Sannoumaru Mayumi" Design

This is a classic rock glass. It features a design layering the traditional Edo Kiriko "Yarai" pattern with a star pattern, finished with an octagonal basket weave pattern at the top. The basket weave pattern, modeled after bamboo baskets, is said to ward off evil spirits.
