Edo Kiriko is no exception, and to become a traditional craftsman, you need at least 12 years of practical experience.
At Saiho, we are focusing on training young successors to preserve Japan's fine traditions.

I believe that Edo Kiriko has the power to attract people.
It gives hope to the hearts of those who see it, and I think that power is what makes it so appealing.
I want to continue learning and working hard every day, with the mindset that I am starting from scratch.
In 2020, he was certified as a traditional Japanese craftsman. He received the Tokyo Governor's Award at the 23rd Edo Kiriko New Works Exhibition, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the 23rd Japan Traditional Craftsmen's Association Exhibition, and the Glassware Times Encouragement Award at the 30th Edo Kiriko New Works Exhibition. He has also received numerous other awards.
