Tradition and Innovation: The Creation of Edo Kiriko

  • Saiho pattern

At Saiho, we cherish tradition while also challenging ourselves with new ideas and patterns. We have created bold, modern patterns that completely change the image of traditional patterns.

  • Attention to materials

Edo Kiriko Saiho uses domestically produced, handmade glass, made by artisans who have inherited the techniques of Edo Glass, a traditional Tokyo craft, just like Edo Kiriko.

  • Attention to color

When you think of Edo Kiriko, many people probably think of blue and red glass. At Saiho, we don't just offer the traditional blue and red colors, but we also use traditional techniques to apply patterns to glass in a variety of colors.
