Edo Kiriko Artisan Profiles
Meet Our Team
Currently, Japan's traditional industries are facing a shortage of successors.
Edo Kiriko is no exception, and to become a traditional craftsman, you need at least 12 years of practical experience.
At Saiho, we are focusing on training young successors to preserve Japan's fine traditions.

Edo Kiriko takes on infinite forms depending on the creator.
It is a world without answers, where one can endlessly explore.
The patterns change their expression depending on how the light hits them and from what angle they are viewed.
I believe Edo Kiriko is a never-ending path.
That is its charm, and also its challenge.
I am very happy to be able to work with such Edo Kiriko.
